Yea times have been tough since leaving the army. I am hoping to do the next chunk of upgrades next month. that will include

front end lowering blocks
brake lines
swing arm extensions
and velocity stacks

07 black and blue tear away 14, brock's parts: alien head full exhaust, front end strap, ceramic wheel bearing, brock's quick change lowering links. pulled flies, speedo healer, muzzys timing advancer, muzzys block off plates, K&N,+1 rear, pirelli and the list goes on but is classified from there.

i got the PCIII map from the dynojet site but it was to generic and then i emailed muzzy and they gave me what they said was good for what i had but it was the same generic one as the dynot site and it didn`t work well with my mods at all, and i lost power too!! so that`s why i went with Mr.Motec (Motec-Tunning.de)for tunning and a custom map. i knew something was wrong when i got walked in by a bike that should have never caught me. now that i`m running good he`s back in his place...the rear.. LOL.... Life sure is grand!!

Ninjaryder, I also ran that same map when I had the Muzzy slip-ons(same as yours love them)then fuel moto gave me a map ....also the same with one cell change. I know what you went through with all the map BS. The only map I got to work well with those pipes was the M224 Which was a 4 into one map. The rest sucked. The Map from Muzzy was the worst.Lost power and thought I was running a diesel truck. Glad you got her all worked out. cheers.

Big Dave.......Is that a Bags Connection Engage-Sport tank bag?

If so, how do you like it. I have the Day-Pack on mine, great for it's small size, but need something larger like your's.

Thanks

Yeah, that's the one. I have issues with it. Overall it's pretty pimp, enough so that I decided to keep it and deal with/fix the issues, but it has issues.

Basically it has one major design flaw, which I've actually been meaning to email them about, and ask wtf.
The handle, and D rings for the shoulder strap, are on the wrong end of the bag! I don' get it. Every other tank bag I've seen that has a carry handle, it's on the back, basically in your lap as you are riding. This way when you take it off the bike and carry it, the end that opens is on top, so you can get to your stuff, and the big flat end that doesn't open is on the bottom. Duh. The big flat end that's perfect for setting the bag down on, so it stands upright, with the opening on top. The big flat end that... has handle and D rings on it!!! Yes, that's right, the carry handle is in the middle of of the front of the bag, exactly opposite the opening. So if you were to use it as delivered, you'd carry the bag around with all the openings on the bottom, totally inaccessible without all your shit falling out. In order to get to anything in the bag you would either have to lay the bag flat like it sits on the bike, or grapple with the other end of the bag that has no handle, while trying to open it, or while setting it down on the nice big flat end on top of the handle. Gahh.

But incredibly obvious design flaws like that don't bug me at all, really!

I carefully amputated the handle, and flamed the nubs, but I left the D rings. I sourced 2 more black D rings, some small pieces of 1" webbing, and some long ass rivets, and reattached the handle with the new D rings on the back of the bag just under the opening, where it belongs.

I don't think I would have kept the bag if I hadn't been pretty damn sure I could move the handle. The other thing I did was put some weather strip gasket in a few spots on the latch system so it wouldn't rattle. It's a very solid mount, but there is a tiny bit of play, with the gasket it just feels tight, no play.

So, there ya have it!

Weird.......Mine is tha same way, handle to the front when mounted. Can't really stand mine up though so it dosen't bother me, just have to lay it flat when off the bike.

Yeah, that's not as bad, still seems wrong though. I mean, what if you wanna get your wallet/cellphone/camera/sunglasses/breath mints out of the bag while you're carrying it? It is especially lame if using the shoulder strap. Now you are basically carrying a messenger bag/satchel/purse type thing, that's upside down! It's right there, hanging on your side, but you can't open it at all with out flipping it over first, and holding it there awkwardly while accessing it. With it hanging there right side up, it's just like a normal bag, unzip it and reach in and grab you camera or whatever. Easy.

Anyway, pretty easy fix if you have the stuff to do it, and I'm happy with it now!

Some pics to keep this thread on track....

The new handle location with the added D rings.

The flat, solid, front of the bag, where the handle used to be. Stands up on end next to you chair at lunch, very convenient!

You were looking for bigger, I don't see fitting anything bigger than this comfortably, it pretty much takes up all available space. The whole thing expands upward too, 4" I think.

Yea, that size is what I want, since I have the day bag now, the Engage will fit right onto the SW-Motech mount.
Right now I'm using a Ventura Luggage rack system on the back for strapping stuff to large to put in the tank bag.

Here's a picture of it, but with the big rack/loop on for the larger luggage.

Nice bike! The day pack does look pretty dinky. I was hoping I could get another mount and use this bag on my Bandit, but the shape is all wrong, I'd need the Engage XL. For $200 I'm in no rush.

Looking good there boys. I love the silver '08.

Extra, is your riding buddy trying to make a massage parlor out of his busa? With the excessive vibration and those wooden beads, I would get a woody any time I sit on that damn thing.

Yea I can use them but only for a day or so. My ass is too boney and it's starts to hurt, but very cool on hot days.
I do use a sheep skined cover which works fairly good though.
