lol... I just took a ride up there on the 14...

Met the owner and got to be one of the first to go for a lap on the roadcourse... riding shotgun in a 1 ton Chevy!... He races stock cars, and was hittin' the lines perfect!

Actually, don't know Rook... could easily make my 10r a designated track weapon... problem with that is people would expect me to be fast! lol

just bring a copy of your driving record if there's any question.

You will be one of the first on this track. You'll be there at least one time /month and you'll be one of the fastest before long.

......glad you have the 10. Somehow, I thought that was gone bye-bye. So many guys crashing I can't keep track of who has what to ride where.

Ha ha... I know better.

You will be one of the first on this track. You'll be there at least one time /month and you'll be one of the fastest before long.

April thru October = 7 months... Average cost of track day, $250... I can afford to go every other week, if I reallocate the ticket/lawyer budget...

......glad you have the 10. Somehow, I thought that was gone bye-bye. So many guys crashing I can't keep track of who has what to ride where.

Still have, still a BEAST!

BUT... I'm thinking something like THIS would be a much better choice... Yes, I've done some searching tonight. lol

Thanks, Grn... Gonna be fun fer sure... but just so you guys know, I don't have any delusions of being one of the fastest guys out there. There is a very talented and experienced pool of riders in the PNW... First time out, I'll take the zx14 and sign up for the novice group... Goal will be to get bumped to intermediate w/o getting kicked off of the track.
I'm kicking myself in the ass for not doing a few track days at the other PNW tracks this year... I'll have to wait until April to ride the Ridge... but if I was experienced, I could could take a rip in two weeks.
A stealth mission may be on order.

So, it looks like the track builders have taken having motorcycles to mind as far as safety and such? No walls, tires etc outside turns ? If so, great !!!

Very much so...

The builder has sought after, and taken, input from WMRRA (local moto racers) since the project's inception.

BTW... that vid does not do any justice to the elevation changes and banks on the road course... This track is frickin' SWEET!

Oh... and raw land in the area is about $10k an acre and abundant... Most parcels have harvestable timber, and lotsa builders lookin' for work... Just incase anyone is interested.
And, THIS is just down the road for those who like to get dirty... The area is quickly becoming the place to be for fun on two wheels.

Wow I'm jealous, my closest track is 3 hrs away. If I had one that close my R6 would go straight track weapon. Congrats Dogo got a couple of buddies that got hooked on the track and stopped riding on the street all together.

Have heard that from a lot of guys... I have a feeling my days of street riding are numbered.

That'll be SWEET, DK!... Don't think they'll ever host GP in Shelton. lol
Price for track days (here) will vary depending on whether I sign up for school or just to ride, and the orginizer of the event... $100-$300... AT first, I'll want/need a little schooling, from the best, so $300... BUT... most orginizations offer "a taste of racing" that lets you on the track for 20 minutes for $20..

You guys are just looking for excuses not to ride at the track- my favorite track (VIR) is 14 hours away from my house
and I visited it 6 times this year for a total of 12 track days although one day was completely washed out in heavy rain.
I rode Barber, Road Atlanta, CMP and Jennings GP this past year, back to back days at each of them.
Also did 2 trips for a total of 4 days at Calabogie across the border and countless Loudon and NJMP days.

There's no other hobby I've had that has entertained me this much and I would strongly recommend it to any and all motorcycle enthusiasts. The faster you become, the more you will crave the track time.
