Well thanks my man.Just finished totally blacking out my exhaust....not the midpipe...but everything else.Haven't really decided yet IF I actually LIKE a total black exhaust It's cool though.I got a can of paint remover...good stuff..can start again any time!
Three coats flat primer...three coats Heat Resistant gloss black.(not the mufflers...only the heat shields and end caps.I'll get some outdoor pics tomorrow....so I can get a decent look at the overall picture. It MAY be TOO much of a good thing

I feel the same and now that I see the pics in natural light I think they look good. You know what you are doing. Good thing you go ahead with your own plan.
one thing though WTF is that black spot on the triangle tail piece? i hope that is just scraps of masking tape.

Being a vet I can really appreciate it. Thanks for the flags offer but doubt that I'd put em on my green 14.

Okay Mark..no prob!I'll just keep em.Thanks again for YOUR service to this Great Country!
MRA spoiler screen back on for testing.
MRA screen,fully blacked out exhaust.
Finished with all visual mods now...all body bolts are in matching panel colors(came back from this ride and completed the rest of the fairing bolts and fender bolts.Lime Green....turned out perfect!).As far as I'm concerned...she's ready now for the wild blue yonder!!!! I MAY....do the engine case cover bolts...but not just yet....kinda gives a bit of contrast to the engine...and such a SHWEET running engine she be .Maybe the handlebar clip-on bolts in flat black as well...IDK.
Planned last mod....Laminex headlamp protective film.Clear.On order.(Okay....maybe the CS Ones....maybe.I do like these cans on here though....it feels like the motor likes em also.Seriously).

Some streamers from the handle bar ends would go well with that. I'm not getting it.
OK SF, you made me laugh on that one, I was thinking a set of ape hangers and maybe some bubble gum cards in the spokes would be a nice touch!
Seriously though, cuustomizing is a personal thing, it doesn't matter what we think, if Green likes it he should do it.

You need to put the stickers and paint away and get the wash rag out.
How'd I miss this thread, yer crackin me up with these one liners SF!
Yea, to each his own but my first order of business would be to peel all those stickers off. I had a Schwinn Mustang back in grade school that had the metallic green banana seat and flame stickers on there but that was a long time ago.

560...that's what she weighed on that truck scale....scale guy was sittin right in there when I did it.Full tank of gas....oh yeah....the battery...ya had me stumped there for a minute.Fender...and battery. That's what she came out at.I guess that scale was right?20 something lbs lighter... Let me go weigh the fender...I've no idea what it was by itself...BRB...well..the fender is about a couple, maybe right there. The Stock battery was 10 lbs on the scale here.So IDK.You don't suppose the oil made a difference do ya?I changed and filled her with synthetic.1 gallon and a few ounces. That is a lot of weight...it seems. But that's what it was.Only things were the fender, battery and oil.I'll weigh her again come Spring...aint any riding out there NOW.

Scales are usually only accurate within a given range, being a truck scale,a bike would not be in range, a minus 2% would make your # creditaable
