So I was thinking one day in the fall cause the leafs will be changing soon so lets make this thing happen. Who's in on this one?

We could definitely link up That day I was thinking the same thing It's a long slab down towards the Danbury- NY area.

I am working on a route. If anyone has any suggestions let me know and I will try to plan it out. What I am doing is seeing who is in and where they hail from and I will try to accommodate as many as possible.

Bikemanusa, Don't worry about a route once you get up my way. I've got some great routes in my gps. I would like to take you guys up to Lake Placid. There are some great roads along the way that you all will love. If we meet in Broadalbin NY in the morning by 9 a.m. we will be able to put in a great ride. Check your guys distance from home and see if you can get there by 9. The route will have no interstate riding, but there are a few opportunities along the way to hop on the interstate if someone had to bail early. We will definitely hit up Tracy Rd. That will be a treat for everyone for sure.

2.5 hours from home to there. I can make it by 9 no prob.

How bout you inkman? Maybe 91 north to 90 west. Thatll get us there.

yup! I could do that. its about 3 hours for me to get there. then we have another 2 hours up to lake placid.(give or take). this might have to be an overnighter for me.

Hey Smat & Bike, I maybe riding from Boston and the Mass Pike (I-90W) is the fastest way to the NY. I agree with Bike, this maybe an overnight ride - riding out Saturday which allows for B-roads to be taken thru NH & VT. Even the Mohawk Trail thru MA would be a nice road to take into NY. You guys would just stay on 91N which intersects with Rt2, then take Rt2 West. Let me know your plans.

There's also a super 8 in Johnstown and a Holiday inn.The super 8 is a little rough, I think the holiday inn is a bit pricey. The micro-tel is fairly new.

Aright I see what's good if you all decide to stay over the night an we stay at the same place we should be able to get a group rate but with guys who are married an girlfriends mite find it hard to accept an over night in such short notice!
