Now we gotta have the shootout of the Bad Boyz with there turbo toyz.....Badinblack vs. Badzx14

don't get off topic .. i've been kicking cbr azzes and would like to roast a few more of them hype bikes ..

in fact the last 09 cbr was dragstrip ready by a dealer for a customer and the dealer told him ..HE WOULD BE THE FASTEST BIKE AT THE TRACK ... GUESS WHAT .. he wasn't in fact he was nowhere near fast with 10.20's@135mph on a streeeeched and lower bike with pipe and mods and a 135lb rider..

1Bad, you just need to ride a CBR one time and you'll be hooked....gauranteed. Now that 9.68 we know is not realistic but I'm talkin about hittin the twisties....hard! You know what I mean Vern, bend some turns...huhhh. Not everyone measures success in life by how well they do at the drag strip, track riding, tat's what I'm talkin about. Expand your horizons, explore new worlds...live a little....relax...try decaf, it does wonders for the nerves. Hey, next time you come to town, lunch is on you.

That is all,

Kruz

LOL..........I won't be messin' with Ole' Rotten, he told me one time he'd turn me into a wolfskin rug lol. Having 280 ponies will be cool, but like you mentioned if they aren't reliable ponies I may not be so thrilled but thats why I'm leaving the busa as is, at least I'll have one solid running machine even if the new cbr is kickin' my azz

CBR is kickin everyone's azz, it's the only bike made that can kick it's own ass...kinda like the Chuck Norris of motorbikes.. I can't wait til 1Bad's shift gets off work at McDonalds this evening, should be entertain...errr interesting commentary.

He's gotta catch you first, if your pumpin out 280 HP that might just be harder than it sounds cause 1Bad's got the frontal area of a Kenworth truck.

Badzx14r it seems you and I agree that a CBR1k will not run a 9.68.

in stock trim
not even downhill ,downwind .. or dropped out a an airoplane ..

but i have seen several 07 gixxer 1k that was stretched like 6 inches and lowered and with only pipe and pc3's on bone stock motors run 9.30's .. so i can't say it won't do it ... but i've only seen 1 09 honda run in that similar trim with a good light rider 115lbs and its best run was 9.90's 147mph..

i hear alot of talk from the honda guys on the internet .. but at the track they avoid racing

RE: Hmmmmm...

I grew up around drag racing - from the time I was 8 to 18. HP doesn't matter if you can't put it on the street. Going back to the graphic regarding times & trap speeds...something is WAY off. The CBR's time was 0.33 seconds faster than the Gixxer 1k, but it's speed was 2.9 mph slower? For that amount of a time difference, I'd have a hard time believing there'd be that much of a speed difference. Now I don't know if those numbers are correct or not, and I've never ridden a CBR 1000 or any other liter bike, but common sense tells me that a 14 or Busa will NEVER beat a liter out of the hole (minor weight difference and all), but top end - with two riders willing to keep turning the throttle - the 14 & Busa will win. Every Busa & liter rider I know will confirm it.

Winning a race on a motorcycle on the open rode, often has more to do with which rider is willing to wind it out for the longest period of time. I have an 09 ZX, my buddy has an 06 Busa; do I have the faster, more powerful of the two bikes? Yes, do I have the cajones to prove it? No. I have my personal limits regarding speed on the open road while my friend will redline his Busa in 6th for however long you're willing to keep up.

Just remember - two vehicles speeding down the road - one staying in front of the other to prove how FAST he/she is. The lead vehicle changes lanes quickly to pull ahead...right in front of a state trooper...who gets the ticket? Being in the lead isn't always the best place to be...while the liter bike rider with the inferiority complex gets pulled over for "winning", I'll just keep on riding by, comfortably atop my "slow" 14...age & wisdom count for something.

considering the graph is stock vs stock

that tells me that you don't know nothing about drag-racing ..

cause its just the opposite of your common sense . try lauching a stock trim 1k .. it wheelies or bog and launches are their biggest problem .. where a 14 or busa( due to longer wheelbase and lower ground clearance) will jump out of the hole better ..

but then the liters lighter weight 100lbs and taller rpm range will run the heavier bike down ..

and any dragracer knows this

My Common sense tells me that you couldn't be more wrong more length(to a point) and more tq is an advantge out of the hole. In addition the minor weight difference between a CBR and a zx14 is at least 130lbs thats huge when you are talking about bikes.

It's all hot air willid, the really fast guys I know are very quiet and unassuming. You ever met a real champion like Kevin Schwantz or Nicky Hayden? They do all their talkin on the track. Anybody that has to blow his own horn that much has major insecurity issues....period. BTW what chicken strips? My CBR is run down to the edge of the tire and the 14 has less than a quarter inch and that's all on the street.

Thats a very true statement most of those guys egos are tied directly to there motorcycles. Thefore most of them get really hostile when they find out the bike they bought is not the best at everything. Luck for me the CBR is the best at everything LOL

So wait after all the liter bike bashing badzx14r has accepted the reality that liters are quicker than BUSA and ZX14s once the bikes are rolling. Great so now I'll have to actually work while I'm at work that’s just great! Thanks for nothing Badzx14R

i of all people know power to weight is a killer ... but your not gonna out roll-on a big bore in 2nd with a liter in 3rd gear .. unless its one sick big bore .. i didn't say they were faster just that they can run a big bore down on the big end .. reason 14k rpm vs 11k rpm and the tall 1st gearing on liters .. some liters don't shift till right around the 1/8 mile into 2nd gear

duck and run kruz ... when rossi kicks every-bodies azz ..he's not really quiet about it after the race .. i'm just the opposite ..i talk shit before the race when i KNOW I'M GONNA WIN ...

It’s easy to talk shit when you’re lined up next to an EX500. The question is how vocal are you when a 130lb rider on stretched out 08 Busa that you know nothing about is sitting next to you?? Your actions from that point will determine if you are truly a bad-ass or just another pretender at the track talking shit. I'm not saying you are either one but thought I better point that out.

All the new liter bikes are so close in fact all liters made in the last 4-5 years are very close in terms of performance. Anyone that can legitimately argue that one brand of bike is better than another should get off the Internet and start looking for sponsors.

i've beaten every 08 busa i've run .. but i've lost to several gen1 busa's ..

EVERYONE talks shitt on the forums.. and are quiet as mice at the strip .. me on the other hand .. i don't give a shitt if spiderman is next to me .. he's suppose to win .. but lord help him if i win

and i'll also enter every jackpot race ..

thats not true .. at the dragstrip theres 2 brands KAWASAKI'S AND SUZUKI'S .. The others don't have a chance and it can't all be bad riders ... i don't keep up with road racing no more ..but AMA Superstock was ruled by Suzuki as far as i know and those liters are as close to stock as you get ..
