Trump asks Mexico to pay for the Great Wall of America. Mexico says "Only if you use Mexican labor." Trump agrees. The wall will have many hidden holes for subsequent illegals to cross and those who build the wall never go back to Mexico.

.
In Spanish, we use a phrase that says, "cada pueblo tiene a los gobernantes que se merece", it means "every nation [or 'country'] has the government it deserves".

I guess we deserve a racist, sexist, demagogue.

A Racist, Sexist Demagogue Just Won The New Hampshire Primary:

New Hampshire Republican primary voters on Tuesday made official their choice for president of the United States: real estate mogul and reality television star Donald Drumpf.

The businessman's resounding victory amid a crowded field of more experienced and accomplished candidates is a stunning turn of events for a party that vowed just four years ago to be more inclusive to minorities after failing to unseat President Barack Obama in the bitter 2012 election. What the GOP got instead is a xenophobic demagogue who's insulted pretty much everyone and even earned the endorsement of white supremacists.

People don't look at Trump's history before assuming he's all hot air.

This is a guy who has, hundreds of times, assembled the best and the brightest to get complicated and very expensive projects done. In every case he let them come up with the solutions, but like a good leader, he always reserved the authority to make the final decision.

As a disabled Veteran, ex-Airborne Ranger, I would be happy to have Trump as my Commander in Chief.

But when it comes down to it, whoever gets the Republican nomination is light years better than Hillary Clinton.

I think he's going to win. If he can embarrass Rubio in TX and FL the way he did, I think that speaks volumes. His comments are unpolished but they reflect the feelings of most Americans. If it's all just a bunch of bravado, I still think that's better than the carefully laid plans of career politicians. Seeing Trump in the white house would not surprise me at all. The hardest thing to believe about it is that for the first time in history, we will have a president with a huge combover. I wonder how the rest of the world feels about that hair.

I think Rook is right, but never underestimate the republicans ability to fuck it up and loose. Cruz and Rubio will get destroyed by the Clintons - Clintons will have 50% of the people believing they are child molesters by the time November rolls around.

Trump is the only one who has a chance to beat the Clintons unless Romney, Bush and the other East Coast Liberal republicans fuck that up too which appears to be their strategy.

What I See Happening In a Trump Presidency
By Bill Bennett

"They will kill him before they let him be president. It could be a Republican or a Democrat that instigates the shutting up of Trump.

Don’t be surprised if Trump has an accident. Some people are getting very nervous: Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett, Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton and Jon Corzine, to name just a few.

It's about the unholy dynamics between big government, big business, and big media. They all benefit by the billions of dollars from this partnership, and it's in all of their interests to protect one another. It's one for all and all for one. It’s a heck of a filthy relationship that makes everyone filthy rich, everyone except the American people. We get ripped off. We’re the patsies. But for once, the powerful socialist cabal and the corrupt crony capitalists are scared. The over-the-top reaction to Trump by politicians of both parties, the media, and the biggest corporations of America has been so swift and insanely angry that it suggests they are all threatened and frightened.

Donald Trump can self-fund. No matter how much they say to the contrary, the media, business, and political elite understand that Trump is no joke. He could actually win and upset their nice cozy apple cart.

It's no coincidence that everyone has gotten together to destroy The Donald. It's because most of the other politicians are part of the a good old boys club. They talk big, but they won’t change a thing. They are all beholden to big-money donors. They are all owned by lobbyists, unions, lawyers, gigantic environmental organizations, and multinational corporations – like Big Pharmacy or Big Oil. Or they are owned lock, stock, and barrel by foreigners like George Soros owns Obama or foreign governments own Hillary and their Clinton Foundation donations.

These run-of-the-mill establishment politicians are all puppets owned by big money. But there's one man who isn't beholden to anyone. There's one man who doesn't need foreigners, or foreign governments, or George Soros, or the United Auto Workers, or the teacher's union, or the Service Employees International Union, or the Bar Association to fund his campaign.

Billionaire tycoon and maverick Donald Trump doesn’t need anyone’s help. That means he doesn’t care what the media says. He doesn’t care what the corporate elites think. That makes him very dangerous to the entrenched interests. That makes Trump a huge threat to those people. Trump can ruin everything for the bribed politicians and their spoiled slave masters.

Don’t you ever wonder why the GOP has never tried to impeach Obama? Don’t you wonder why John Boehner and Mitch McConnell talk a big game, but never actually try to stop Obama? Don’t you wonder why Congress holds the purse strings, yet has never tried to de-fund Obamacare or Obama’s clearly illegal executive action on amnesty for illegal aliens? Bizarre, right? It defies logic, right?

First, I'd guess many key Republicans are being bribed. Secondly, I believe many key Republicans are being blackmailed. Whether they are having affairs, or secretly gay, or stealing taxpayer money, the National Security Agency knows everything.

Ask former House Speaker Dennis Hastert about that. The government even knew he was withdrawing large sums of his own money from his own bank account. The NSA, the SEC, the IRS, and all the other three-letter government agencies are watching every Republican political leader. They surveil everything. Thirdly, many Republicans are petrified of being called racists, so they are scared to ever criticize Obama or call out his crimes, let alone demand his impeachment. Fourth , why rock the boat? After defeat or retirement, if you’re a good old boy, you’ve got a $5 million-per-year lobbying job waiting. The big-money interests have the system gamed. Win or lose, they win.

But Trump doesn’t play by any of these rules. Trump breaks up this nice, cozy relationship between big government, big media, and big business. All the rules are out the window if Trump wins the Presidency. The other politicians will protect Obama and his aides but not Trump. Remember: Trump is the guy who publicly questioned Obama's birth certificate. He questioned Obama's college records and how a mediocre student got into an Ivy League university. Now, he's doing something no Republican has the chutzpah to do. He's questioning our relationship with Mexico; he's questioning why the border is wide open; he's questioning why no wall has been built across the border; he's questioning if allowing millions of illegal aliens into America is in our best interests; he's questioning why so many illegal aliens commit violent crimes, yet are not deported; and he's questioning why our trade deals with Mexico, Russia and China are so bad.

Trump has the audacity to ask out loud why American workers always get the short end of the stick. Good question! I'm certain Trump will question what happened to the almost billion dollars given in a rigged no-bid contract to college friends of Michelle Obama at foreign companies to build the defective Obamacare website. By the way, that tab is now up to $5 billion. Trump will ask if Obamacare's architects can be charged with fraud for selling it by lying. Trump will investigate Obama's widespread IRS conspiracy, not to mention Obama's college records. Trump will prosecute Clinton and Obama for fraud committed to cover up Benghazi before the election. How about the fraud committed by employees of the Labor Department when they made up dramatic job numbers in the last jobs report before the 2012 election?

Obama, the multinational corporations and the media need to stop Trump. They recognize this could get out of control. If left unchecked, telling the raw truth and asking questions everyone else is afraid to ask, Trump could wake a sleeping giant. Trump's election would be a nightmare. Obama has committed many crimes. No one else but Trump would dare to prosecute. He will not hesitate. Once Trump gets in and gets a look at the cooked books and Obama's records, the game is over. The goose is cooked. Holder could wind up in prison. Jarrett could wind up in prison. Obama bundler Corzine could wind up in prison for losing $1.5 billion of customer money. Clinton could wind up in jail for deleting 32,000 emails or for accepting bribes from foreign governments while Secretary of State, or for misplacing $6 billion as the head of the State Department, or for lying about Benghazi. The entire upper level management of the IRS could wind up in prison.

Obamacare will be de-funded and dismantled. Obama himself could wind up ruined, his legacy in tatters. Trump will investigate. Trump will prosecute. Trump will go after everyone involved. That’s why the dogs of hell have been unleashed on Donald Trump.

Yes, it's become open season on Donald Trump. The left and the right are determined to attack his policies, harm his businesses, and, if possible, even keep him out of the coming debates. But they can't silence him. And they sure can't intimidate him. The more they try, the more the public will realize that he's the one telling the truth".

I realize that a lot of you on here are republicans and what not, but I have a question...
What EXACTLY makes you hate Obama so much? And I don't want to hear how he's a secret Muslim or a Socialist or any of that crap. What CONCRETE policies of his so damaged you personally that you are filled with so much hate. I could talk all day about how Bush crashed the economy or put us into 3 illegal wars based on lies, them's are facts.
It's just I see a lot of unreasonable hatred on here and all over the interwebs about how evil us "Libtards" are and how Obama is the freaking anit-christ.
I'd like to understand what's driving all the support for divisive policies and a potential facist as the GOP nominee.

Mad,
You are seriously asking why someone hates a politician???
Very strange question.

They are all rotten.
Each and every last one of them.
And the higher they get, the worse they get.
They are the bottom dwellers of society.
Each one has lied.
Each one has deceived.
Each one has stolen.
Each one has betrayed the people they represent.
Each one has broken the law.
Each one has more skeletons in their closets that we will never know about.

Each President, Prime Minister or country leader falls into this category with no exception.
That is a simple fact.

When you elect your new President, you will be choosing who you consider to be the best of a bad bunch.
No matter whom it is.
Same as us on the other side of the world when we vote in a Prime Minister.

The only good politician is a dead one.

The prize goes to you Yannih. Great answer. I am just confused by the rampant "Obama Derangement Syndrome" we have here. It's like the Bush Derangement Syndrome we used to have but worse. Count your lucky stars that you live in NZ. Lucky bastard....

A lot of people have been hurt by Obamacare which I believe is the onlt memorable aspect of Obama's presidency. People are pissed about the terrorism situation and Obama seems kind of complacent about it. "It's under control, it's very unlikely to happen" and the next day, we are hit. The French Prime Minister was insulted by Obama's response to the terror attack in Paris---"Michelle and I had such a wonderful time visiting Paris..." ....what kind of an ass makes an appalling comment like that to the representative of the victimized nation? He's a bad president. Not good. OK, he's not the first but that's no reason to cut him any slack. Horrible foreign policy and bad at home. I hope for better next time.

Ok Rook, I get you about Obamacare. But what would you do? Go back to the old system? Where is the GOP alternative that is realistic? Yeah O-care may not be perfect but what else is out there?
As far as terrorism, Bush and Obama both have shown that dealing with it is complicated and sometimes near impossible to predict. Do we send in ground troops AGAIN? That is asking for more US deaths and wounded vets. So whats the answer?

Ok Rook, I get you about Obamacare. But what would you do? Go back to the old system?

I believe that is pretty likely to happen if Trump gets elected. It would be another mess to change back to the way it was but I would be happy to not be required by law to hold health insurance. Obamacare actually improved my health coverage situation but as my income increases, I see being one of those who chooses to take the tax penalty and not be covered. I'd rather just not be covered and not have to pay like I used to. I'd rather be the one who decides when I've risked going without insurance long enough, not the government.

As far as terrorism, Bush and Obama both have shown that dealing with it is complicated and sometimes near impossible to predict. Do we send in ground troops AGAIN? That is asking for more US deaths and wounded vets. So whats the answer?

I don't know the answer but I believe the first step to dealing with terrorism is accepting that it will be a threat from now on or at least a very long time. I'd like to see our nation start to take much bolder steps to reduce the threat and that would include putting some big restrictions on how people travel to our country. I don't think anyone will end terrorism altogether.

I think going back to the old health care system would be a disaster. Pre-existing conditions, rates set at whatever the market can bear, people going into bankruptcy because they have a medical issue... Sure it's fine for those who have good health and adequate money to pay for it, but what about everyone else? Shouldn't living in the worlds richest country mean something besides fighting to stay alive?
Living in s civilized society means looking out for everyone, not just making sure YOU are getting ahead.
Europeans look at us like we're crazy that we don't take care of our own citizens. And, as Obama, the Great Dictator himself said at the time, "if you don't want Obamacare, bring me an alternative that works." No one did...
Also, remember, Obamacare was originally a republican idea...

I completely agree with Yannih, all the way down to the local level 'leaders' I know. Some actually seem to start out meaning well, and then get corrupted. Others are corrupt in-it-for-themselves-only right off the bat: Trump, Hellary, etc etc

I just cannot stand to see Hellary's face or hear her talk, and I can't understand how others can. Strike 1 is that she's a democrat. Coming off 7+ years of Obamacrap, none of which I wanted or voted for in the first place, and now I'm expected to want more of it?? Liberal, left, illogical, give-it-away free-for-all, workers pay for the non-workers, forced to buy health insurance crap.

Trump is almost as bad ... what a total actor / entertainer / bragger / over-the-top BSer. But we have to pick one or the other. So as is fairly common, in my mind I won't be voting for someone so much as voting against another. Sorry Hellary. Actually, no I'm not: you suck. Trump sucks, too, just a teeny tiny bit less, and in different ways. At least I have hope that he'll be able to limit some of the govt programs and crap, and return the US to a capitalist country. There is absolutely no doubt that Hellary will simply add more and more and more layers of govt. We need less govt, not more.

Any debates about who to vote in our level is meaningless because our voice doesn't count...at least that how I read the article below:

Voters don't pick nominee, we do: GOP official
Matthew J. Belvedere,CNBC 7 hours ago

Political parties, not voters, choose their presidential nominees, a Republican convention rules member told CNBC, a day after GOP front-runner Donald Trump rolled up more big primary victories.

"The media has created the perception that the voters choose the nomination. That's the conflict here," Curly Haugland, an unbound GOP delegate from North Dakota, told CNBC's " Squawk Box " on Wednesday. He even questioned why primaries are held.

There are 112 Republican delegates who are not required to cast their support for any one candidate, because their states and territories don't hold primaries or caucuses.

Even with Trump 's huge projected delegate haul in four state primaries on Tuesday, the odds are increasing the billionaire businessman may not ultimately get the 1,237 delegates needed by the convention to claim the GOP nomination.

This could lead to a brokered convention, in which unbound delegates, like Haugland, could play a significant swing role on the first ballot to choose a nominee.

Most delegates bound by their state's primary or caucus results are only committed on the first ballot. If subsequent ballots are needed, most of the delegates can vote any way they want, said Gary Emineth, another unbound delegate from North Dakota.

Democrats experienced the latest true brokered presidential convention to go beyond the first ballot in 1952. Republicans came close at their 1976 convention.

"The rules haven't kept up," Haugland said. "The rules are still designed to have a political party choose its nominee at a convention. That's just the way it is. I can't help it. Don't hate me because I love the rules."

Haugland said he sent a letter to each campaign alerting them to a rule change he's proposing, which would allow any candidate who earns at least one delegate during the nominating process to submit his or her name to be nominated at this summer's convention.

If the GOP race continues at the same pace, Trump would likely have a plurality of delegates. So far, he's more than halfway to the 1,237 magic number.

Trump split Tuesday's winner-take-all primaries in Florida and Ohio.

The real estate mogul dominated in Florida over Sen. Marco Rubio , who dropped out of the race after losing his home state.

But Trump lost Ohio to the state's governor, John Kasich . Trump also won Illinois and North Carolina. He held a slim lead over Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in Missouri early Wednesday.

Emineth, also a former chairman of the North Dakota Republican Party, told "Squawk Box" in the same interview he's concerned about party officials pulling "some shenanigan."

"You have groups of people who are going to try to take over the rules committee," he warned. "[That] could totally change everything, and mess things up with the delegates. And people across the country will be very frustrated."

Emineth said he's worried that such frustration would discourage Americans in the general election from voting Republican.

Why we don't like obama, well lets see, My once good healthcare has gone to crap,
we use to pay $20 for an office visit, $30 for a specialist, $150 for a hospital
admission, NOW obamacare told my wife company basically that their insurance was
"too good" and if they don't change they will be fined heavily,
not kidding, now we have to pay $4000 out of pocket before the new insurance
even thinks about kicking in, and then its only 80 percent, our prescriptions use to
be $7 out of pocket, now some of my wifes are $300, (not all)

He campaigned on bringing us together, he has actually has divided us more, he is quick
to fuel the racist fire,

There are 92 million not in the workforce, there are more people on federal assistance
than any time in history, he has done nothing to create jobs, except a few for his
road worker buddies, he has had MANY green companies fail, after taking billions of taxpayers
money and many other failures, and if you really believe the unemployment rate is 5%
I have some ocean front property for sale in south dakota, real cheap.
Oh my electric bill has quadrupled, from HIS smart meters, Yes he built that ..
"energy bills will necessarily go through the roof" Obamas words
there are MANY empty business buildings in my area, that are staying empty, I have lived here
my whole life, and it has NEVER been like this

He traded terriorists, for a turncoat, he has let prisoners in Guantanamo go free, only to have them
return to terrorism.

Oh and the republicans didn't cause the so called meltdown, the democrats were in charge of the financial and housing a year and a half before the so called collapse, and in fact FRANK/DODD bill caused and was written and approved by democrats. also the republicans had NEVER had a super majority in the house and senate to override
a presidential veto, the democrats have had a super majority MANY times, thats how we got into this going back to the progressives with FDR, and Wilson, they also had a super majority with LBJ thats how we got even MORE federal handouts with the "great society" they also had a super majority with Carter, need I say more ...

so you see the republicans have NEVER been given a chance to try their ideas, because this country hasn't given them a chance, and the dems will not go along with any new idea, that doesn't involve even more debt and more spending, and more taxes, that may sound cliche, but its true, dems just keep throwing money at things, at taxpayer expense, and never solve anything.

Oh did I mention obama increased the National debt more that ALL the presidents before him PUT TOGETHER ????
(at least from Washington to Reagan) yes I know others have increased it, but not to this extent and this is the worst time to increase it even more.

as hub mentioned, look up Valerie Jarrett, and yes, his mentors, father, mother, grandparents, most friends, all communist, socialists, etc .. look it up

lets see, war, well obama has made a disaster out of the mid east, thats why that JV team ISIS is terrorizing the mid east and Europe, and soon here, at least Bush went to Congress to get approval for "his war" (with 50-75% approval from democrats) and this was after that thing called 911 .... and YES there were WMD, thats been proven, Saddam was gassing his people to death with the minor ones, the other ones were probably sent to Syria or dumped into the ocean, regardless they found evidence of them a few years ago (funny the media didn't say much about that) and besides that, Saddam was a brutal dictator and was murdering his own people, but that another discussion

I have much more, but I have to go now

Typical take the peoples rights away. A few control who is voted into office? If the constitution said to overthrow those who repeat what the founding fathers sort of said what is happening now... It will decline this empire not flushit down the toilet. Ripe for ice says anyone?

I think I know where you are going Hub, and if so, I agree, we need to party like it 1765 ???

The problem is, that in 1765, we were staving off a tyrannical government,

Now, voter fraud aside, these idiots are openly electing these fools that are destroying our
country and our children's future.

Maybe we need to party like its 1861 ????

Or are elections "rigged" sometimes I wonder .....

Todays trivia question. Who wrote this :

“We are socialists, we are enemies of today’s capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions”

If you want to find out who runs this country and much of the world, look up Illuminati, Bilderbergs, Bohemian Grove, and the Bush's secret society Skull and Bones. They all want a one world government. Trump is against all of these organizations and if he's elected he's going to come against all of them. That's why they're throwing everything at him and spending millions of dollars so he won't become president. He'll ruin all of their 'One World Government' plans.

Sorry Carabuser, most of your "facts" are the same B.S. that Fox "News' has been pedalling.
You seem to want to be able to live in a society where YOUR needs get met at a price YOU pick. Well, it doesn't always work that way. And to say the Republicans weren't responsible for the most recent economic meltdown is pure fantasy.
I asked for constructive ideas. Yours don't qualify. Good luck with T-rump.

NO they are facts, but wallow in your democrat worship, even though it is false,
you are living in the fantasy land, not me, no matter what facts someone brings
to democrats/progressives, they don't want to believe them

Oh and I didn't get that from Fox news, I don't even watch fox news,
most numbers are from CBO when available.

I should not have even tried to bring you the truth, you don't want to know it
for some reason. later ....
