I realized it is very easy to get 'complacent' riding this bike...it powers up so darn smooth and all...before ya realize it...yer ripping.Speed on this baby is deceptive for sure.And I need to remember that and keep my head in the game....God Bless ya all...watch those decreasing radius turns!

I had a tuner tell me that with a PCV or bazzaz, the slip ons will flow just fine, not saying he was the best tuner or he was right, just what he said, I mean he sells exhausts, Im sure he would like to sell me an exhaust, but said I that I really didnt need it ....

And guys to be fair to kofla I was completely out of line last year on bikeland for sure.

The problem was they got to going after me big time and I handled it like a child and when I read some of my old remarks im truly embarrassed by the way i responded.

And why I get so pissed when guys like him keep going after me is it reminds me of my mistakes and being an complete asshole. So I understand where he's coming from.

And carabusa full exhaust is way better than slipons that why companys make both and the slips are much cheaper usually. Just becauseca guy works at a dealer or dyno doesn't mean he knows his shit thats for sure. You now how many times I've been to dealerships and the shit they say I'm like what?? A couple of months ago I was at cross country bmw dealer which also sells most of the jap bikes. And im lookin at the bmw 1000rr and the guy comes over and says its the fastest thing in the building my a MILE. Now about 20 yards away they have a left over 14r and I say thats my bike over there and its not miles slower at all and in fact I would love to run him on the beamer kiddin around of course. He looks me dead in the eye and says meh that bikes just really a tourer and really isnt that quick outside of the tourers. They called the ambulance when I passed out and hit my head and I woke up in the hospital thinking it was a bad dream. I seriously couldn't believe he said that.

Carabuser in the mag ssb they tested 18 exhaust systems on an first gen zx14 long story short the bike on their dyno stock put out 160hp on the dot. With brocks SLIPON alienhead it gained 4 hp tp 164. Then they put on the full alienhead system and I believe it pulled 174 and 3-4 more tq. You can check it out online. Search up ssb magazine exhaust test shootout that should get you to it. The test most all the major exhausts on the market. Great info for you if your lookin into exhaust for your bike.

I hear ya. I always respected kofla too not for his knowledge per say but always a stand up guy and always willing to help everyone. I never had an personal problem with him and if you back track I wrote an whole post on this thread backing his opinion. I even invited him to ride to switch bikes to try out the 14r. But I guess I did the damage so i have to live with it.

I'm 40, like many of us here, been through a lot of shit. There ain't anything to forgive here bro. It's nice to know that you think about Kofla the same way I do, actually, I also respect you man. We are all united by a love for this machine and the commeradery that we get from the forum.

It's all good, I should not have said that shit about putting the computer down. But you know, like you I am sure, I step up when called out, and like you when a man throws down a challenge I step up.

I try to keep my distance from personal disputes. I respect a man that admits bad choices in the past and resolves to make good ones in the future. We all try to be better everyday. Now, back to exhaust rant! I do not have a cat in my header pipe, so I am only after the option of swapping to a more aggressive sound and an each flash to go with. I can always put my stockers on in 5 min and be back to stealth mode! I am leaning toward the scorpions in all cf just purely based on looks and the little red touches which match my suspension small bits! Now, after that, I think the Akro headers are sexy!

Yeah cblast that sounds good. I was just stating how I felt buying the worlds most powerful bike I want ALL the power it makes. Thats why I bought it. And after going from stock exhaust to full brocks now way I could go back. No way. I dynoed my bike after the 600 mile breakin and before the dyno went right to amsoil and and pulled 186hp. Then a week to the day the following Saturday with my brocks ct and map I went to the dyno and pulled 201hp. Think about that its what the bike has in it. What kawi was working so hard for. Hell the new 14r had about 20hp or so more than the gen1, and think when I bought a simple exhaust I brought out the other 15hp. Thats why I say u have to go full or go home. Because if your buying the 14r your buying a pretty bassass bike. Go big or go home. And if you don't need all that power what the hell are you buying the 14r for, go buy a connie14 to cruise on. Again just playing the devil's addvacate.

Really long thing to explain and a lil busy right now but basically you change your sprockets on your bike (the things your chain go around) and you gain quite a bit more pull thru the gears. Actually feels stronger than exhaust and its about 100 to buy the sprockets. Ask most anyone here they all know about it. You just lose some top speed but man does it pull like a raped ape. But it will wheelie alot easier too. You lose top speed of 186 down in tbe 170s depending on gearing but the pull when you hit the gas will have you laughing in your helmet.

Hey Wolfman, that article (http://www.gizmag.com/kawasakis-2012-zx14-r-will-be-the-most-powerful-production-motorcycle-ever/20158/) is from way back in 2011. Most of the bikes in the article are very exclusive/limited bikes and I don't think thats what were talking about here. Can you really count the Horex, Confederate Hellcat, the Jet Turbine bike, etc.. as competitors for the ZX14R? Even the article says "the main contenders are Yamaha VMAX, MV Agusta's F4RR and Suzuki Hayabusa" That is 3 (not 15), and they aren't as powerful overall... just sayin' :)
