Academy wise, Rossi and his posse will be well conditioned during this lag in time. For sure this one will be one of the best sprint races watching MM pull it off against the others. Heal time for him is going to improve the head game. Hot, hot, back and forth's; it's anyone's championship.

Well, the Prime Minister Jacinta Ardern just announced New Zealand borders will be closed as of Sunday night.
You thinking of coming to beautiful Queenstown NZ?
Unless you want to isolate for 14 days when you get here, forget it.
And New Zealand won't be the last.
If countries are shutting border access, you can forget about MotoGP and every other event that involves international travel and draws a significant crowd (Australian F1 GP already gone).

I hope it doesn't turn out this way but it looks like this season could be a complete washout for so many sports including the 2020 MotoGP.

To be continued...

They sure picked a hell of a year to televise it for free on a couple of the networks over here in the U.S.

Hmmmm, coincidence????

I think not!

Well, the world health organization states that it's too early to call a number of, cough, excuse me, about cases, wuhan-wuhan, god bless you, thank you, anyway as I was saying... man I'm a little dizzy.... excuse me for a moment...

Good explanation of the physics involved and why their techniques help manage the torques and forces better to go faster. normal mortals cant do that, well maybe a little bit

sum of the torques = 0 or physics take over aka high/low side

Well, no one including Hub wants to comment on Mr Rossi's potentially forced move to a non factory ride in 2021, but what cannot be ignored is 2020 MotoGP races are still falling like flies.

In quick succession, the British, Australian, and now Japan GP's have just all been cancelled.

Aaaagggghhh...

If VR complains about Qman's bike not being competitive, it's a sign of get the fuck off the bike, you're done making excuses. We had races over the weekend so what is really important is to see a jump in cv19 during the protests. No spike, lets' race.

I wonder if the organisers have ever contemplated the minimum number of races required to be completed in a season to constitute the crowning of a World Champion?
I mean you can't have a single race and the winner is automatically the Champion.
Or can you?

So is it 5?
Maybe 10?

Is there actually still enough races left or is the 2020 MotoGP season already dead?

And most importantly will my current MotoGP subscription be transferred to 2021???

Hahaha...

Was just looking at previous posts on this thread and due to a combination of going senile and not posting on MotoGP for so long I forgot I had actually asked the same question previously...

I too wondered about the subscription vs no races. Do we let it slide and be glad we have the opportunity to see each race, or demand a refund, a bonus, discount next year, ________ fill in the blank. Personally it's a write off, oh well, who knew, ____ fill in the blank.

Imagine they take the joystick winner of gp, and the joystick participants they have during the season. Put those two up against each other and let vegas set the odds. That's what it's come down to, because this year looks awash. Obsolete bikes, no new rules, just turn the history page and use the same rules that were never played.

Meanwhile, all that saved budget goes into R&D so the rules follow the evolution of the latest product. I mean, who knows where that money went? I'd toss it into research on a downtime kind of window. It's a rich boy's sport so it's not about to die. Racing doesn't stop.

I more look at a down year [like this] for an up and comer to miss who knows how many years dad can't foot the bills, it's looking to snowball more like it. We'll have a crop of rich kids growing up... IF... dad is into bikes. I can think of a few rich kids, like Mike Hailwood, and Joe Roberts from America. Dads were/are well off to keep the kid going.

And can you imagine again, 'hey Rossi, the field is thinning out, we have a works bike if you come back. We listened to yannih and are kicking ourselves for these last 10 years. What are you, over 50 now? That'll work.'

And time creeps up on the field.
1. Dovi is the senior along with Crutch = Done.
2. Pol is now at his peak at 30yr old. It's now or never.
3. MM has a few years left so he's more or less the show.
4. Miller is young and will be somewhat of a contender.
5. Binder is a multi-champion, so he's here for a few years worth of thorn in someone's ass.
6. Qman should be a solid contender come factory ride next year.

That's it for me. Miller, Bider, MM, Q, and maybe Franco in the mix of podiums. The rest are also-ran's.

Agree Hub.

I'm just looking forward to the first race back.
But MotoGP has thrown may surprises out there in the past so anything might happen and I have a feeling we will see it in Jerez...

I can relate to shoulder injuries. Dovi is going to be hurting. Shit like that takes a year to heal. I'm up to 16 crashes so what I experienced; 'heal' never be the same. The broken boners around here know what I mean. Plus, he's senior #2. Your buddy is #1 LOL.

Except for chrly, I rode out to the race track a few weeks ago, came home and cooked it a little with an off ramp. It had signs with (32k)20 and (16k)10 miles for both hairpins. I haven't ridden for months and blew the tighter curve. I went straight, saw the marbles, and rear braked on the clean road. In other words, I was rusty.

Imagine the human mind getting back up to speed at this level. That kind of 'tone' you could feel, or at least I could feel a difference. I kept that level up, and raced weekend after the next. Join two clubs and they each have weekends on the track rentals, so you keep fit.

Fit for fit, push ups are one thing. This is going to be one head game of a race. You wonder where their heads are at, and if their handlers are telling them to pull the pin, or back off? Say they let the rider figure out the team wants to win, all that crap; so say each rider wants the win at all costs...

... Shit, now I forget. Maybe it's coming back, but I watched the seat changing go-round? Was it Miller who jumped right on the bike and performed? Now I can't remember the other bike, or the rider who struggled, and Miller made them look, well, I think Miller is young and hungry at 24. MM is 27 and at his prime. Lorenzo is past his prime. Dovi was the solid, dependable old pro from way back, and was not a crasher like your buddy.

Qman is still curving it, and far from his prime. Mentally, he seems snappy enough to be on the raggedge like a light switch. MM is more the crafty now. Kind of wonder if he runs away out of the gate or has the residuals to break his prime time. Just sits back and if honda still throws the code on the 11th lap ticking down to pull the pin, who knows?

Only qualifying knows for sure.

Just by memory, was the duc clocked at (349k)217 or (355k)221mph? That was last year. What's sitting in the pits now? Honda and yammie have to catch up or their riders push it making up the time, you'd think? Especially the long tracks. Dovi's a deep braker. That kind of combo would help Dovi, but not this season. Depends on the recovery window.

Don't remember if I saw this or how old it is. Dovi is up against a cut in pay, hasn't talked to who knows in a few years. I'd like to put some tape over his's manager's mouth.

When Rossi moves to Petronas, he's not riding a satellite bike. Lin Jarvis
is committed to Rossi having a full factory Yamaha with engineering support. Haven't heard
if Rossi is taking his crew with him.

Jerez FP1 done for MotoGP return.
Bloody exciting session already.

Marquez top.
Vinales super impressive as 2nd fastest.
Miller not bad at 6th.
Crutchlow sticking his finger up at Honda with 3rd!
Quartarato disappointed with 17th after 20 minute penalty.
Rossi in 13th. Oh dear. And so it continues...

Brad Binder is going to be a problem. It sure is not the bike. Might be the hottest rider for the season like Qman was awhile back. Franco too. Should be interesting. The ktm boss said he wanted to beat the factories, it might happen with Binder.
